077 - While I Was Out (Part 2)
Strangely enough this is almost exactly how my job hunt went. I say almost because even though most of my searching and applications were done online or through emails I did dedicate a few days to walking in and visiting some of the businesses that I was interested in. In the end however, my initial idea of sending out mass emails with links to my portfolio and resume is the only method that returned calls and interviews.
So yeah, I was a bum for a while. I like to think of it as a short vacation seeing as how I never took a semester off from school. I was also steering away from any opportunity that was unrelated to what I studied. After all the time, money, blood, sweat, and pencil lead I put into earning the title “Graphic Designer” I didn’t want to settle for anything less. I think my parents knew this and thus were pretty laid back when it came to starting my career. It was also a rewarding experience, finding a job all on my own. A real sense of accomplishment.

Funny… Very Funny…. Funnier than Dick Cheney walkting through a lion’s den with porkchop drawers on.

Excuse me, GTFO? Uh…. NO… I don’t think that’s the way it went at all. But, considering it’s a cartoon, pretty funny, I guess…
