So the world seemed simple when the era of The Lodge arose. Third year in college and a new town to conquer. The only thing on my mind was my school projects and where the next party was. Naturally this was never meant to last. All within a few months my roommates move out, friends tell me that they’re getting married, and I am on the job hunt as the last semester comes to a close.
New Friends (as well as old) are around and even though my life seems to be changing I still try to hold on to what makes life fun. Friends, family, and the good times people have when they come together. My life is in a transition period (almost everyone I know is in this phase) where Life is more uncertain than ever before. New waters approach as we try to set-up our life for the next part. New jobs, new people, and new adventures to look forward to. These will soon be the good old days, much like life at The Lodge is considered now.
I call this part of my life: Aloof.
