Los Ochenta

My grandfather turned 80 this past week and naturally my family had a big party in his honor with friends, familiars, and beer. I seized the opportunity to finally photograph some people with my camera. All the photos can be seen by visiting the flickr photoset page here.
I was pleasantly surprised by the black & white photos this camera produces. Only minor adjustments had to be made in Photoshop (mainly because I like my B&W photos little on the contrasty side), but overall I was very happy with some of the photos. Now if only I could train people to ignore the camera and break the habit of turning and smiling when they see one pointed at them.
All in due time I suppose.
