Mangos and Peaches

Trying to experiment with some photo art since I have a rather extensive photo library with some pretty good pictures for this type of work. The process is a little more time consuming than I thought it was going to be. I figured that I wouldn’t have to worry about the background too much since the photo would serve that purpose, but I actually ended up adjusting it more than I would a regular photo.

Also: illustrating objects trying to take into account the flat elements of the photo takes a decent amount of patience. All in all it was fun and I think I’ll do a few more since I’ve fallen out of the digital art realm as of late.

And in case anyone was wondering the idea for this was based on the Photo Art that Hawk from Applegeeks does. He has some very clever/funny ones in his flickr photo set. Really worth a look.
