Mike Turner passes

A bit of sad news: Legendary comic book artist Michael Turner’s long fight with cancer ended June 27th. He’s drawing with all the other greats up in the great beyond now. I never met him, but his work was a HUGE influence for me. I stopped following Fathom when he was diagnosed and took a break from the comic book world. Later when he returned I began to follow his work closely, trying to learn as much as I could by observing his style. Sure, I criticized the stylized women he constantly drew at first, but I soon realized that it was his style and he was trying to create something unique with his art. He was only 37 years old. Way too young and talented to go.
