Tedious Work
Jul 22nd, 2008 by Chris
Sometimes my job can be pretty tedious. Today is a good example: I need to make ID badges for the CBBA and I have to enter the names of all the individuals and their corresponding company on each tag. The template is Office Depot brand in Microsoft Word format. An image template created in a text editor >.>. Sure Word can handle basic graphics, but it limits your control over pretty much everything. The result is that I now have to open each file (approximately 150) separately in Photoshop and enter the text by hand. 150 times.
Sound like fun? Well I assure you it’s not. Surprisingly enough, handling all the open windows is more of a chore than entering text. Needless to say we learned our lesson when it came to jobs of this nature.
