Self Portrait taken last night in Valencia, Spain. I walked to Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias to photograph the buildings at night. Currently we are in Madrid and about to Dutch this town up.

The city is beautiful; with canals and lights everywhere. Unfortunately my laptop cannot get internet access so I cannot share any of the photos I have from yesterday.

Today we are going to be visiting the Van Gogh museum and walking around the city because it is the most beautiful day we have seen in Europe thus far.

First day of a new year.
2009:

Learned to really stop worrying and just do it.

Today in Rome:
Most places were closed today so we spent a day walking in Rome’s central park and visiting other locations that were available to the public. The weather was strange today. A mix of heavy rain, strong cold winds and a little sunshine that would occasionally break through the clouds.

Here is the Mayor standing on a small stone bridge enjoying the day. The name of the park escapes me at the moment, but it was beautiful. It was also nice to take a stroll without having to rush through anything. Tomorrow we leave to Amsterdam where I hope the place we are staying at has WiFi. The website says that it does, but I’ve learned not to trust everything that the internet tells me.

Us in front of a fountain that was sculpted by Bernini. It was raining for most of the time we were walking the streets last night. We woke up extra early today because we are visiting the Vatican and want to get there before it opens. Set-up my camera on the tripod with remote shutter release for this photo ;)

Oh, and we’re all running on about 3 hours of sleep. Awesome!
