06/06/06
- Episode 73
It's been a long and sweaty weekend.
As the comic illustrates: our Air Conditioner broke down this past Thursday. Not really that surprising unfortunately. Seems that every time we call to get it fixed it only works for about 3 - 4 months if we're lucky. The ordeal that we have to go through to get someone from maintenance up here to fix it is the worst part. They refuse to work on it during the weekends for some reason, so we're stuck sweating our balls off in the middle of the summer.
I had the pleasure of talking to the maintenance guy when he first came to investigate the issue. As always he goes through the same tests that anyone with common sense would do. He turns off the unit and then starts it up again and he checks to see if the filter is dirty.
Honestly, we wouldn't call if that was the issue because we check that shit as soon as we realize that it's getting hotter than hell in the apartment.
The Maintenance guy gives the staple response every time: "Must be the compressor. Looks like it died."
In any case, we were promised a working AC unit by Monday. It's Tuesday now and I'm still sweating more than two gay mice in a gym sock.
In Other News...
I'm actually quite impressed with myself. I had 2 drawings that I had to do and still managed to get this week's comic up close to the Monday deadline. Slowly but surely I'm getting back into the regular update groove. Hopefully I'll be able to live up to my word and get a new BPC issue up this Thursday.
Recently acquired some new music that i've forgot to mention:
The new Red Hot Chili Peppers CD is amazing. Definitely worth the wait. Plenty of new songs on the CD and they are all good. Still the same great music with a slightly new sound. A little more jazz influence. I've been listening to it non-stop.
I also got my hands on the new Tool CD and it's my favorite release to date. Same sound, but with less of the noise that their previous releases had. Each song is at least 7 minutes long and each song draws you in. Very catchy stuff.
And I've had the Bullet for my Valentine CD for a while now, but it's still at the top of my most played songs. Very energetic songs that stick in your head. They remind me of early Thrice and Atreyu, back when they still had some punk roots.
And if you haven't heard:
Apple notebooks can now be turned into lightsabers.
Click Here to see how gay this can possibly get. It's sad, really.
Took me a lot longer than usual to update the site and I am really tired so as always: let me know if you encounter and errors or broken links. KTHX
