Maybe that title was a little harsh, or maybe not! Here’s a video interview of a few American citizens, Sarah Palin Supporters, waiting to get her new book signed. My only question after watching this video is this: How can people in this day and age, with access to literally unlimited resources and information through the internet, still support someone and have no idea what the person they are supporting stands for?!?!

Real Time News > Newspaper

There’s still an argument to be made about whether or not printed newspapers can still hold their own against the real-time news reporting that the internet provides. However, the events in Egypt have proved that dedicated reporting and journalism found in printed newspapers is no match for real-time news.

Let’s face it: Newspapers publish old news. There’s no argument there. You cannot compare getting information instantaneously as it is developing to a piece of paper that is several hours old at best.

Case in point: look at the scan of this California newspaper that was delivered today:

The front page article contains a news report that is so old it is completely inaccurate! The people reading this paper will be misinformed of the actual developments unless they go online and search for an updated news report. And how’s that for an advantage of digital news reports, authors can update the articles as the story progresses.

For those that do not know, Hosni Mubarak stepped down as President of Egypt early this morning. There, even this website, which I often neglect to update with relevant news, is now more up-to-date than printed newspapers.

X-Men: First Class Trailer

I’m going to watch this regardless, but I’ll admit that I have been losing interest in comic book movies produced at Fox. It’s been a slow downward spiral that keeps on getting worse. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer was beyond disappointing, Spider-Man 3 suffered from too much hype and marketing and Wolverine movie was laughable. So I’m not expecting anything great from this film. The style does look intriguing, but it is only a trailer and the trailer for a movie does not always reflect the style of the actual film.

In a way, it’s a good thing that Disney owns Marvel now. Maybe they will put a stop to mass producing garbage from their property as soon as contracts start expiring.

The reality is that the way a movie is shot is just as important the actors and the story.

Just a quick update.

I know I’m the worst when it comes to keeping this blog updated. Mainly because logging into the wordpress interface has become somewhat of a chore when all I want to do is post a photo or something funny I found while surfing the web. So I embraced microblogging platform Tumblr because it allows me to post quickly and keep things short and sweet.

Anyways, I use Tumblr. Many people already know about it and a few don’t so here is an official update that I have another blog that I update much more frequently than this one. Granted, some of the stuff I post on Tumblr is random crap and internet memes I find funny, but I’ve also been using it as a way to collect all of my presence online.

Long story short, I added a link at the top of this site that will load my latest posts onto a page on this blog.
